I am prepping for the International Blues Challenge (IBC) in Memphis in mid January. I've been practicing & timing the tunes I'll be playing. I am still feeling the excitement of winning the South West Florida Blues Challenge as a solo in the solo-duo category. I'm starting to get myself ready. I won the South West Florida Blues Society Regional Blues Challenge last night in the solo/duo category at Cape Cabaret Dinner Theater in Cape Coral. That gives me the right to go to Memphis in January to compete in the International Blues Challenge (IBC). This will make the second time in 3 years that I have competed in the IBC. in 2020 Ross 'n' Rose made it as far as the semi-finals. Heidi Ho Rosenbaum was my partner then. SUNDAY OCTOBER 3rd I will compete in the Southwest Florida Blues Society Road To Memphis Blues Challenge. I go on at about 2:40pm. I will be in the solo/duo category. Thank you to Mel, Blues Bobby, and Heidi Ho Rosenbaum for all the help getting prepared for this. Heidi is still on the mend from a knee operation or she'd be banging it out alongside me. Saturday night was at 26 Degree Brewing in Pompano. Satuday was at Blues Burghers in Hallandale with Alan Wilkov on drums. And Monday I was at Fishtales on 33rd in Fort Lauderdale.
