All of these songs are available for download on BandCamp for a pretty low price. If you go to RobertRoss1.BandCamp.com you can check out how each track sounds before buying them for a buck or two or three. You can leave extra too if you feel magnanimous. Wink wink. There's some gospel, and some rock 'n' roll in addition to plenty of blues uploaded on BandCamp. I will be adding additional recordings every once in a while so check every 2 or 3 weeks or so. WE ARE ONE is a Ross original gospel song about peace, love, and hope. It was written to remind people that war is usually NOT the answer. It was originally released on Fountainbleu Records in 2004 along with 3 other songs on an EP entitled What Are We Fighting For? Ross’ original song features Robert on vocals & guitars; Mark Dann on bass; Jon Loyd on keyboards & vocal background; and Phil Cimino on drums. BADA BING is an original rocking blues song that has a catchy chorus that is a lot of fun to sing along to. It also has some funny lyrics about gangsters & mobsters. It was never released but I'm getting tired of waiting so here goes. Ross’ original song features Robert on vocals & guitars; Mark Dann on bass; Jon Loyd on keyboards & vocal background; and Phil Cimino or Dan Hickey on drums. IT HURTS ME TOO is probably the best slide playing the Robert Ross Band ever recorded, and the vocal ain't bad either. The track was released on Rockin' The Rails on Blue Planet Records in 1991 and re-released on Sleight Of Hand on Fountainbleu in 2002. FURTHER ON UP THE ROAD: Robert Ross with The Billy Troiani Band just released this Bobby Blue Band song on BandCamp. “If you like nasty shuffles, this is it, and you’ve never heard this unreleased live recording from Norway. AIN’T GONNA LET NOBODY TURN ME ROUND
According to Wikipedia, “Ain't Gonna Let Nobody Turn Me 'Round" is a freedom song based on the spiritual "Don't You Let Nobody Turn You Round" and became an American civil rights era anthem. It was sung during demonstrations for civil rights in the United States including during the Memphis sanitation worker strike in 1967." It is public domain.
