I am very much looking forward to my return to the Dolphin Bar & Shrimp House in Jensen Beach on Friday night. I love the food there, the place is beautiful to behold with a lot of windows overlooking the Indian River which looks like a bay to me because it's wide, and no doubt DEEP.
Sunday I'll be at Plantation Walk in Plantation FL from 3 to 7pm outdoors. Of course if it rains hard I may be moved to one of the many nearby delicious restaurants. 
Come on out and support the blues. Support the rock 'n' roll. Support LIVE music and WORKING musicians. Thank you!!
 
Short Bio
Robert Ross is an award winning singer, songwriter, guitarist, slide guitarist, harmonica player and percussionist who plays rock 'n' roll, blues, classic rock, and hipster jazz. Ross performs mostly as a one man band these days but has 7 recordings out with The Robert Ross Band. Ross has won 2 New York Music Awards, the 2019 South Florida Blues Challenge, the 2021 SouthWest Florida Blues Challenge, and made the semi-finals at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis TN in both 2020 & 2022. Johnny Winter recorded one of Ross' songs, "Sitting In The Jailhouse" twice. Ross recorded with Big Joe Turner and backed up Big Joe, Mama Thornton, Brownie McGhee, Otis Rush, Lightnin' Hopkins, Dr. John, and many other blues legends. Ross has opened for Jerry Lee Lewis, Edgar Winter & Leon Russell, Johnny Winter, Albert King, Freddie King, James Cotton, Bo Diddley, Mose Allison, Gatemouth Brown, Robert Gordon and more. He has a lively upbeat personality that is very entertaining and his rock, blues and jazz stylings are very tasteful. Bob Fass of WBAI's Radio Unnameable said, "Robert Ross is a blues icon. One of the great blues spirits".

The outdoor stage is located in the plaza area next to Kob’s Green Market and in front of the parking garage next to The Rise At Plantation Walk. The stage is rather large with a large green tent over it which is opened when needed to block the sun or rain. If the weather is really really bad we may move to a nearby indoor location at the last minute so look around for us if all hell breaks loose. Hurricane Dockside Grill has a cool open air plaza with a roof overhead to provide protection from the weather, but if the weather is too hot or cold they have fans and heaters, or I may just play inside. Now that football season is over, the Boynton Beach location is going to be having Sunday shows in the late afternoon. GUITAR / BASS / HARMONICA LESSONS
From award winning recording artist & seasoned educator Robert Ross
I will be taking on a limited number of dedicated guitar, bass, and harmonica students regardless of age or current level of expertise.
Robert is a two time New York Music Award winner and a New York Blues Hall of Fame inductee. Robert is known for a wide variety of blues, jazz, soul, country, rock ‘n’ roll, folk, and other roots music. Robert worked and recorded with Big Joe Turner and also worked with Lightnin’ Hopkins, John Lee Hooker, Otis Rush, Big Mama Thornton, Brownie McGhee, Memphis Slim, and other legends. One of Robert’s songs was recorded by Johnny Winter, and two other songs appeared on the soap opera “All My Children”. The Robert Ross Band has released 7 internationally distributed CDs and toured two continents. Robert has been teaching guitar for more then 25 years privately, and 13 years in NYC public schools. Robert’s work in the schools has been cited by the NY State Council of the Arts (NYSCA) for “best practices in arts in education programming”.
Lessons are $40 per half hour, and $60 per hour.
