Happy Holidays & Happy New Year!
Happy Holidays to each and everyone, as Tom Thumb says. And Happy New Year too! 2021 will be a much better year, and not just because ANYTHING would be an improvement over 2020, but because there will be a return to normalcy in America. And normalcy is good, much better than "abnormalcy".
People will learn from those at the top that science, truth, and fact matter when trying to find solutions to problems like CoVid19, climate change, pollution, corruption, elections, democracy and everything else.
So Happy New Year, I am so done with 2020. Isn't everybody?

"Sleight Of Hand" on YouTube
I came across a YouTube page for "Sleight Of Hand", my 2002 Fountainbleu cd, a small label out of Queens, NY run by Rafael Fuentes. The YouTube page was created by the distributor of the cd.
As long as I was there I listened to some of the cd. This is the first time I’ve heard some of these tracks in many years. I honestly have to say it is surprisingly good and holds up well. The songs are strong with great lyrics, a fabulous rhythm section, with some wicked guitar and vocals.
My favorite tracks so far are: If I Had Known, She’s Fine As Fine Will Ever Be, It Hurts Me Too, 69 Chevy, Harlem Nocturne, and I Am What I Am. All Dressed Up No Place To Go ain’t bad either. In fact every tune on the cd is worth listening to.
Tampa Red and Elmore James each made a seminal recording of It Hurts Me Too. It's a slow 8 bar blues that features slide guitar. A lot of other blues artists have recorded it since. I loved the way my dear departed friend Louisiana Red did the song on acoustic guitar.
Harlem Nocturne was written by Earle Hagan and is the quintessential film noir sound track. It's a classic jazzy blues tune that's been recorded by many sax players and guitarists.
It Hurts Me Too (Tampa Red), Harlem Nocturne (Earle Hagan), and King Bee (Slim Harpo) are covers. All the other tunes are written by me.
The band features Mark Dann on bass; and the late great Howie Wyeth on drums & piano. Mark & Howie are outstanding throughout the whole cd as usual, only more so.
