After ROSS ’n’ ROSE perform from 5pm to 7pm, there will be more music in the Grand Ballroom starting at 7:30 pm with THE FLORIDA SWAMP CATS + DOUG DEMING & THE JEWEL TONES. Admission for that is $10 at the door, or a Wristband for the event may be purchased out by the pool up until 7pm.

ROSS ’n’ ROSE won the South Florida Blues Challenge in the Solo/Duo category featuring Heidi “Heidi Ho” Rosenbaum (drums); and Robert Ross (vocals, guitar, slide guitar & harmonica) from 3pm - 6pm. Winning the Blues Challenge entitles us to compete in Memphis TN starting on January 29, 2020 in the International Blues Challenge. This is a fundraiser to help with the expenses for that competition. Suggested Admission is $5, plus we’ll pass the hat. $1 for 1 ticket or $5 for 6 tickets. The winner of the raffle splits half the pot with Ross ’n’ Rose.

The Funky Biscuit Monday Night Jam will feature 2019 Road To Memphis Blues Challenge winners: Denny Artach Band (from the Suncoast Blues Society); and Ross ’n’ Rose (from the South Florida Blues Society). Ross ’n’ Rose features Heidi Rosenbaum (drums); and Robert Ross (guitar, slide guitar, harmonica & vocals). Both of these acts will compete in Memphis starting on January 28, 2020 in the International Blues Challenge. The Funky Biscuit All Stars has been hosting a very popular blues & rock ’n’ roll jam for years and this great band features: Richie Schmid (guitar & vocals), Bob Taylor (keyboards), Antony Livoti (drums), Drew Preston (guitar & vocals), and Mark Telesca (bass & vocals). Thank you Mark!! Funky Biscuit is one of the very best music venues in all of Florida.

This benefit was moved from November 23, 2019 to February 8, 2020. The concert will be held at the Pompano Amphitheater and is a benefit for the Bahamas which was destroyed by Hurricane Dorian on September 2, 2019. The category 5 monster storm stalled over the island nation for 24 hours with sustained winds of 185 mph. The island was completely devastated. There was extensive flooding, widespread destruction, and many deaths. In the aftermath, the people have to deal with power outages, lack of food, water, and housing,There is also concerns about the spread of disease. This concert is a benefit for the Bahamas.
