Robert Ross Short Bio

Robert Ross is an award winning singer, songwriter, guitarist, & harmonica player who is known for blues, and a variety of roots music including jazz and rock 'n' roll. Johnny Winter recorded one of Robert’s songs, "Sittin' In The Jailhouse". Robert recorded with the legendary Big Joe Turner for Spivey Records and has backed up or opened for: Jerry Lee Lewis, John Lee Hooker, Lightnin' Hopkins, Brownie McGhee, Memphis Slim, Sunnyland Slim, Otis Rush, Dr. John, Charles & Cyrille Neville, Rick Derringer, Leon Russell, Bo Diddley, Bobby Lewis, Pinetop Perkins, Big Mama Thornton, Louisiana Red, J.B. Hutto, Eddie Kirkland, Floyd Jones, Homesick James, Papa John Creach, James Cotton, Linda Hopkins, Junior Wells, Buddy G uy, and Jethro Tull. The Robert Ross Band tours Europe and the USA, and has released 7 cds.
