The holidays are fast approaching. The year is rapidly coming to an end. Fortunately, there is live music to cure the blues. Come on out to these places and hear what I'm playing these days.
Thank you to all 144 people who came out to the Hagen Ranch Public Library last week and the 33 who came out to the West Boca Public Library to hear me play yesterday.
I've been performing a lot of private parties and  assisted living facilities as well as in public libraries and I can tell you from 38 years of experience that those audiences are among the absolute best audiences there are.
Saturday I will be at Stringer's Tavern up in the Stuart area.

This will be my first appearance at Summer Crush Winery, and what better way to begin that to do a tribute to the late great Chuck Berry. Berry defined Rock ’n’ Roll with his songwriting and showmanship as well as his singing and guitar playing. I will perform one full set of some of my favorite Chuck Berry songs, and throughout the afternoon I will perform some songs written and performed by other artists that Chuck covered. I will be performing again in two weeks on Friday January 20th, and if things go well I’ll be at Summer Crush every other Friday afternoon until May. Summer Crush Winery has a beautiful vineyard so come on out and immerse yourself in nature and Chuck Berry. Featuring: two time NY Music Award winner & IBC Semi-finalist Robert Ross on vocals, guitar, slide guitar, harmonica, and percussion from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Thank you Gary.

I will be performing outside at Hurricane if the weather is good and inside if the weather is bad. The outdoor space has a roof but no windows. If it’s cold they have propane heaters, and if it’s warm they have ceiling fans. The inside space is kinda cool and intimate. I will be taking on a limited number of dedicated guitar, bass, and harmonica students regardless of age or current level of expertise.

Robert is a two time New York Music Award winner and a New York Blues Hall of Fame inductee. Robert is known for a wide variety of blues, jazz, soul, country, rock ‘n’ roll, folk, and other roots music. Robert worked and recorded with Big Joe Turner and also worked with Lightnin’ Hopkins, John Lee Hooker, Otis Rush, Big Mama Thornton, Brownie McGhee, Memphis Slim, and other legends. One of Robert’s songs was recorded by Johnny Winter, and two other songs appeared on the soap opera “All My Children”. The Robert Ross Band has released 7 internationally distributed CDs and toured two continents. Robert has been teaching guitar for more then 25 years privately, and 13 years in NYC public schools. Robert’s work in the schools has been cited by the NY State Council of the Arts (NYSCA) for “best practices in arts in education programming”.

Lessons are $40 per half hour, and $60 per hour.
