These are strange and dark times, no doubt about it, but we can get through this if we all work together, work hard, and work smart. We might have to think out of the box too.
Trying to stay sane and upbeat is a challenge now. Staying virus free is the biggest challenge of course, what with the spreading virus, and rapidly dwindling supplies for medical staffs at hospitals around the country.
I believe that this pandemic, as God awful as it is, as unprecedented as it is in our lifetimes, may also offer a great opportunity for fundamental changes in the way we live, and the way OUR governments function. I believe those changes can make this a better country and a better world.
But people have to wake up, get smart, and take action.
We can have a world of cooperation rather than one of ruthless competition. A world of peace rather than one of endless war. A world united as one rather than a world divided along ethnic, religious, racial, political, and tribal lines.
A world where health care is a human right rather than a privilege for those who can afford it. As we can see clearly now as never before, if one of us contracts an infectious disease than we are all at risk. And if one of us gets an environmental disease caused by industrial waste, then all of us are at risk for that too. And not just here in our country or yours, but everywhere. We are all in this together.
People from every nation MUST come together now to meet the challenge of this pandemic. And we must stay togethe to meet the next pandemic after this one.
We can no longer afford to waste trillions of dollars, pounds, shekels, rubles, and yen on outrageous military budgets at the expense of education, health care, affordable housing, infrastructure, fresh air, fresh water, nutritious food, dignity, and hope. We can not afford to ignore starvation, poverty, homelessness, ignorance, neglect, and the other existential threat of our times, climate change. We can not afford to ignore the astounding disparity of wealth in our own country as well as our brothers and sister around the world.
We must learn to live together in harmony, Universal Harmony. And we must do it now.
Where do we start?
I say, we start with peace. Your move.

On another note, I will be doing a live facebook podcast in a few days for about an hour. I may make it a weekly routine if it is well received. I will also upload the live podcast and upload it to YouTube so that those who are not on facebook can see it. More about that soon.
Be safe. Be careful.
Robert Ross
