I've had a busy month since coming back from Memphis but the next two weeks will be very quiet except for teaching.  I have a few private students mostly guitar students, and occasionally singing, harmonica, bass and songwriting.  Also, I am teaching guitar at the Glades Road Branch Public Library in Boca Raton on Mondays, but Feb 17 the library is closed because it is President's Day. The guitar lessons at Glades Road starts next Monday. There was a mixup, probably on my end because I thought it started today, but today is MLK Jr. Day and a national holiday. HAPPY NEW YEAR !!! When I have more time I will tell you about Memphis. Suffice it to say that I did not make the finals or the semi-finals, and of course I did not win. Fundraising for the International Blues Challenge is under way. The IBC begins on January 8 in Memphis TN and ends January 11. I will arrive the day before and leave the day after. That's 5 nights in a hotel for the biggest event of the year in Memphis. Then you have to pay for roundtrip tickets, and eating out two or three times per day while you are there. I am gearing up for the International Blues Challenge that which runs from January 7 to 11, 2025 in Memphis TN. I wiil be competing in the solo/duo category and will be performing as a solo. Participating in fundraisers is essential to help the musicians pay for the trip to Memphis to compete in the IBC. The expenses add up fast.
